  • the brain behind it all

Founder and CEO Paige de Guzman took her Bachelor’s Degree in International Studies in De La Salle University – Manila. She has led many community events in her university and particularly excelled in fund raising activities.

Paige formed Pretty Girl Manila on August 2012 to follow her dream of creating and establishing her own company. From the beginning, Paige had a compulsion to sell and provide
what people want. Paige’s experiences and interests had led her to build a business in the
    cosmetics industry.

  • humble beginning

After college, Paige worked in Thomson Reuters and discovered
her love for makeup. Many times, she would buy more than she needs and ends up selling them.

During that time, she has also been traveling to many other countries in Southeast Asia where she
learned more about culture and beauty preferences in the region.

On December 2012, Paige decided to leave Thomson Reuters. After two years of working in Reuters, Paige realized her opportunity to start her own company.

  • forming pretty girl manila

Having no business background, Paige learned business through trial and error.

With a talent for selling and connecting with people, Paige decided to use a capital of $250 from her savings to kick-start her own company. The company initially sold liquidation cosmetics from the United States that she sourced locally.

After successfully receiving additional funding, Pretty Girl was able to source their products directly from the United States.

  • growing and expanding

In 2014, Paige decided to rebrand Pretty Girl’s image. The company has decided to only sell and
distribute new and sealed cosmetics and tools. At this time, instead of a store front, Pretty Girl also
turned to social media as its primary means to communicate with its customers.

In 2015, Pretty Girl Manila developed its core team and opened 3 pop-up locations in Metro
Manila. Paige’s parents have also joined the company and takes care of day-to-day operations of
    the business.
